La Grotta Urlante
Listed as one of The Financial Times’ Expert Selection of Top Wild Swimming Spots in Italy, and as one of the five most beautiful wild swimming sites in Italy by Michele Tameni, author of Wild Swimming in Italy.
The plunging waterfall creates a loud rumble which gives the spot its nickname – the ‘Howling Cave’.
The cave has two pools deep enough for diving.
There is also a pretty pool at La Cascata Sega, just under 1km upstream.
Wild Swimming in Italy describes this as a ‘magical and fun place to be’.
