Bidente di Pietrapazza
Località Casella, Emilia-Romagna
Listed as one of The Guardian‘s Top 10 wild swimming locations in Italy.
The book Wild Swimming in Italy says it is a fantastic place, with swimming spots upstream and downstream of the bridge, and near the Mulino di Culmolle.
“The Pietrapazza river is a tributary of the Bidente, near Poggio alla Lastra, where over the years the river has carved out large slabs of rock, creating eddies and waterfalls. You’ll find natural pools, with boulders and slabs of rock for sunbathing and diving; upstream from the bridge, small waterfalls descend between boulders into lovely pools.” The Guardian, 25 April 2014
