Camucia, one of the oldest towns in Tuscany, sits at the base of the hill on which Cortona is perched, in the ValdiChiana (Chiana Valley). The valley has been inhabited and cultivated since Etruscan times, and the countryside surrounding Camucia is scattered with Etruscan tombs.
Camucia serves as the railway station for Cortona, on the main Florence – Rome line.
